Tickets and fares

1. Terms and Definition

Shenzhen Tong card: refers to the saving/consuming public traffic ticket/card issued by Shenzhen Tong Company according to regulations.

Shenzhen Tong preferential card: refers to the preferential public traffic ticket/card issued by Shenzhen Tong according to the regulations of the municipal government, excluding the preferential Shenzhen Tong card issued by rail transit operators.

Mobile phone Shenzhen Tong: its main business is to integrate the functions of Shenzhen Tong card into mobile phone, with mobile payment mode determined by Shenzhen Tong Company, to be read on the equipment that support mobile phone Shenzhen Tong Card for payment.

Single ticket: the ticket for passenger to pay single travel on train, to be sold, inspected at station entry, and recovered at exit. Single tickets include common single ticket, preassigned single ticket (also referred to as prefabricated single ticket, and referred to hereinafter as prefabricated ticket) and business carriage single ticket.

Business carriage single ticket: the single ticket for business carriage.

Sectional times-counted ticket: the ticket for a single person to use in limited period, section, and times.

Sectional periodical ticket: the ticket for a single person to use in limited period and section, without limited times.

Invalid ticket: the ticket that cannot be updated in BOM inspection, and cannot be read by the system, or with damaged ticket surface.

Card balance: the amount can be actually used by passenger in Shenzhen Tong card (excluding deposit).

Maximum single ticket price: refers to the maximum amount of money in the basic ticket price list of rail transit network.

Maximum single ticket price of the station: the maximum single ticket price from the station to other stations in the network.

Minimum ticket price of the same type: refers to the starting fare for the same type of tickets.

Overtime: the passenger stays in the paid area for a time exceeding the defined time.

Over travel: the passenger travels for a mileage that exceeds the predefined mileage at ticket purchase.

Paid area: the area within the ticket checking range.

Free area: the area outside the paid area.

 

2. Ticket Types


Single  ticket

Single ticket Metro ticket is charged by staged mileage, and common single ticket price = starting fare + mileage fare (step in the unit of 1 Yuan). The starting fare is 2 Yuan for 4km. Within the mileage fare from 4~12km, 1 Yuan for 4km; from 12~24km, 1 Yuan for 6km; over 24km, 1 Yuan for 8km.
Fare/preferential The business carriage ticket price is composed of the ticket price for common carriage corresponding to the whole-route mileage, and the use charge for the business carriage on line 11. The use charge for business carriage on line 11 equals to 2 times of the ticket price for the common carriage corresponding to the mileage of the same route on line 11. When the line 11 mileage in paid route is 1, the use charge for business carriage is fixed: 4 Yuan.
Purchase/saving Passenger should prepare changes to purchase ticket at automatic ticket machine.
Use instructions

1. In free area, the single ticket sold on the current day in the station, without entry information, can be fully refunded according to the face value at the selling station.
2. After entering the paid area, the ticket will not be refunded, except that the passenger is refused to ride or metro reasons.
3. Passenger with large luggage should purchase luggage ticket otherwise.

Child fare

Use instructions 1. Applicable range: children with height from 1.2m~1.5m, or ages from 6~14 years old.
2. Children with height of over 1.5m and under the age of 14 can buy children fare by relevant certificate.
3. Use the ticket to enter/exit the station through the side door, and return it to the station worker at exit.
4. Use the children fare to buy luggage ticket subject to the fixed luggage ticket price.
5. Over travel treatment of children fare ticket: after over travel, pay the over travel fare according to the preferential price. Losing children fare ticket in paid area is deemed valid ticket absent.
6. Please keep it properly, no naming, no loss report, or reissue after loss.

 

Shenzhen Tong Card

Fare/preferential

1. Enjoy discount by 5% of fare for rail transit.

2. To transfer to Shenzhen rail transit using Shenzhen Tong card within 90 minutes after bus reading, enjoy discount by 5% of fare for rail transit, and further preferential 0.4 Yuan/person-time.

Purchase/saving

1. Currently purchase ticket at the customer service center in the following stations: line 1: Qiao Cheng Dong Station, Bao An Zhong Xin Station; line 2: Da Ju Yuan Station, Shi Min Zhong Xin Station, Wan Xia Station; line 5: Huang Bei Ling Station, Min Zhi Station, Fan Shen Station. Purchase ticket at all stations along lines 3, 7, 9 and 11.

2.Save money in your card at station customer service center, auto saving machine or auto saving/checking machine.

Use instructions

1. Metro station will not accept the card returning/changing application. To apply the service, please visit the Shenzhen Tong customer service sites at Lao Jie Station, Hui Zhan Zhong Xin Station and Bao An Zhong Xin Station; for other Shenzhen Tong customer service sites outside the metro range, please consult Shenzhen Tong customer service center (consulting TEL: 969966).

2. From September 1, 2016, the holder of Shenzhen Tong card after saving money can visit Shenzhen Tong customer service site to ask for saving invoice by your saving receipt; as to the specific service sites, please consult Shen Znen Tong customer service hotline 969966.

Purchase/saving 1. Issued by Shenzhen Tong company.
2. You may save money in your card at station customer service center, auto saving machine or auto saving/checking machine.
Use instructions

1. Students under 18 years old in middle school and primary school, and full-time high school registered in the Shenzhen Municipal Education Bureau and under the unified governmental management (including common and vocational high schools).

2. Use the card according to the regulations for card use issued by Shenzhen Tong.

3. Passenger with large luggage should buy luggage ticket otherwise.

Shenzhen Children Farecard

1. Issued by Shenzhen Tong company.

2. You may save money in it at station customer service center or auto saving machine.

3. You may save money in it at the Shenzhen Tong convenient saving machine.

Use instructions

1. Applicable to children under 14 years old (exclusive)

2. Children under 6 years old (exclusive) can use the card to take Shenzhen rail transit for free; children of 6~14 years old (excluding 14 years old) can enjoy 50% discount of full fare to take Shenzhen rail transit.

Sectional times-counted ticket

Purchase/saving 1. To be bought at station customer service center.
2. No saving.
Use instructions 1. Issued at occasions in limited amount, for metro only.
2. To take metro in valid period and defined section, with times limited; to take trans-sectional metro, pay excess fare according to the maximum ticket price for single travel of the starting station. The ticket will not be returned at expiry, and can be kept as souvenir by passengers.
3. No loss report, no changing/returning, no extension.
4. Each single travel within 210 minutes; for over travel, please visit station customer service center to deduct one time of riding and then update data.
5. Passenger with large luggage should buy luggage ticket otherwise.

1. To be bought at station customer service center.

2. No saving.

Use instructions

1. To be used in defined period; you may take Shenzhen rail transit without times/mileage counting within 24 hours from the first reading, and you must finish your last exit within 27.5 hours.

2. No returning/recovery after sales; any card becomes invalid due to non human reason within valid period can be replaced for free at station customer service center.

3. Passenger with large luggage should buy luggage ticket otherwise.

Luggage ticket

In normal station operation, luggage ticket is sold through BOM at customer service center; the white sheet is to be kept by passenger, and the red sheet kept by the station.

Purchase/saving

To be bought at station customer service center.

Use instructions

1. To be bought at station customer service center.

2. Passenger with articles of over 20kg and less than 30kg, or article with the sum of length, width and height of over 1.4m and less than 1.6m, should buy luggage ticket with fare equal to common single ticket at customer service center.

3. Any article with weight of over 30kg or sum of length, width and height of over 1.6m may not be brought into the station.
